In a time when football players in Western Australia such as Ben Cousins are being taunted for their crystal meth addictions, renowned celebrities such as Chris Mainwaring are passing from ecstacy overdoses, and children as young as 11 are taking highly dangerous substances at school, the role of government and society to protect the next generation becomes increasing important. Drug rehab centres in Australia and worldwide are becoming increasingly popular, and very much the 'in thing' with celebrities in the United States. But how can we prevent ourselves, our family, our friends, from reaching such a devastating stage?
This objective of this blog is to increase awareness of the pressures teenagers and young adults are facing in relation to a wide variety of substance abuses, coming from a young adult who has been lucky enough to escape drug addiction and the dangers of being associated with the selfish end of the community that makes a living from ruining society for the next generation.
